CHAKE CONSERVANCY
Chake Conservancy outreach events in the Narok region of Kenya include tree planting, environmental education, health education and training. As reforestation and education is key to regreening the Mara please would you donate to sponsor a tree? We have over 3000 followers but less than 0.5% manage to donate. Please spend US $10.00 or more if you can, and help us to reforest! Without trees we cannot exist. Trees provide food and shelter for the animals. Trees provide Birds with nesting areas. Asante Sana! Donate directly here please https://chakecdpro.webs.com/donate Or here on GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/.../chake-conservancy.../donate Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about any of our events. There are many more pictures on our Chake Facebook Page!

Happy tree planting day!

Angata ward

As per the presidential directive to have a tree planting day public holiday, as Chake Conservancy Masai Mara, Angata sugar mills, NGAO, ANGATA WARD CLIMATE CHANGE TEAM, SECURITY OFFICERS, COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL and the community, we all in a joint program managed to successfully plant over 8,000 trees in Angata ward. We thank all those who participated and more so take the opportunity to those who sponsored and facilitated the day, Angata sugar and Chake Conservancy. Let's all continue to promote and conserve our environment. Thanks to our able ACC, WARD ADMIN, CHIEFS, POLICE OFFICERS. Together we shall combat our climate change. Congratulations to all who planted a tree during our tree planting day. Nobody knew that a police office, an ACC, Ward admin, Chake team, old men and young children's would one day team up and stand to support our environment. But all in a day from the president to a young kid all we planted a tree. Let's now ensure that all the trees we planted grow so that we can enjoy all the benefits. Am sure soon we shall have clean and fresh air as we wait for the shade and shelter to our birds and animals. I wish you all the best! Join Chake Conservancy Masai Mara as we continue with our conservation journey. We're on the move to #jazamiti

Lighting for Predator Control

Light For Life's predator deterrent system installed! (September 7th) Team LION LOVERS strikes again! The Lion Lovers action team have installed a second safety lighting system within the Masai Mara. This installation is for Dolca Momanyi and her family, who have lost over twenty calves, thirty-six goats and some twenty sheep to a clan of hyenas and a leopard. Imagine how frustrating this has been! This constant and very expensive loss of Dolca's only source of income will hopefully be a thing of the past! Getongoroma ASTU Camp Tree Planting. Sept. 6th The tree planting event was very successful at Getongoroma ASTU camp. We managed to plant trees to mark the African climate change summit where our police officers participated fully and assured us that they'll protect and ensure that all trees will grow to maturity. Big thanks to Charles Paxton, Penny Gamlin, Julie for your great work. Also big thanks to our able OC SP. Nduriri for hosting us and accepting and allowing us to plant trees in his station. Salute Sir. Madaka day 1st June 2023. We had our Sub county Commissioner, Assistant county commissioners and all chiefs attending. We planted more than 1500 seedlings on that day.
