The Chake Conservancy is assisting ladies widowed in attacks from wildlife.
We have 22 widows in Chake conservancy. Their husbands
were killed by wild animals. This happened either in the
game park or while they were trying to rescue their farm
produce when attacked by wild animals or in some cases
when trying to protect their domestic animals from being
killed by lions, leopards or hyenas.
Others still have been killed accidentally by lions, buffaloes,
snakes, elephants or other animals.
Independent life is very hard. The Conservancy has been
supporting them with seeds to plant in their farms to get
income.
We are now giving them chicks to rear so that they can have
their own hens.
We plan to start giving them goats if we get suffcient funds.
Sponsor a widow’s flock at $2 per chick!
Sponsor a widow’s goat at $30 each!
Chake has an ongoing GOFUNDME campaign that also welcomes donations.
